Absolutely delicious. We started with double lamb and double chicken mandi but ended up ordering more and more. The host was very kind and respectful. It's a family owned restaurant using traditional family recipes. Wish you guys all the success.
This Lamb mandi plate was so incredibly flavorful - the meat fell right off the bone and the rice was delicious as well! I will certainly be back! The restaurant is small and is extremely busy with very limited seating. I was served pretty quick, but as I was eating I saw many people waiting for a very long time for food, and all the tables were occupied.
It was our first time trying Yemenite food. We got the combination (chicken and lamb) Mandi for 2 people, it was absolutely amazing! The chicken especially was top notch, the basmati rice was delicious, onion crisps and yellow raisins go hand in hand with the spices, really great and well balanced food overall. A refreshing salad was also included along with the meal. It might be too spicy if you're not used to spicy food at all, but for us the spice level was pretty mild, I'd say a 3/5 when using the green sauce they provide and 2/5 otherwise. We were surprised by how fast the food was done as well... Honestly, it probably beats a lot of fast food locations on time between ordering and being served, maybe about 5 to 7 minutes for us. The serving size was also very generous, we both eat more than most and we left feeling stuffed. The staff was very nice and kind. It seems that English is not their primary language, but we had no major communication issues. I would highly recommend trying this place out, at least once! We didn't take any more pictures because we devoured the food a bit too fast for pictures. We'll be coming back for sure to try the wraps in the next few days! Update: the wraps are a great size, extremely flavorful, and very well priced. This has been the best restaurant we've been to during our trip to Canada, I cannot recommend them enough!!!
